High Altitude,
Thank you for addressing my question directly and taking the time to actually mark the time. I know that the times will vary based on the weather or traffic problems but your comments help me put a perspective on that. I will make Evergreen a definite search area when we start looking for homes. Thanks again!

My relatives lives in Evergreen and commute to downtown Denver daily for work. They said it takes about 30 mins, and usually no trouble during the winter, but sometimes they have to stay with their son in Thronton cause they don't want to risk going up I-70 in harsh conditions. There have been times where it was best to avoid I-70 and take a back way down the hill via 285 due to closures and slick conditions.

I would also add Morrison, Conifer, and Golden to your searches like others have said. They are very comparable areas that are a little less known. You can avoid the I-70 mess with Morrison instead you'll get the 285, but its not some dive down the hill.
