Hey all,

Me and my fiancee are visiting Denver from Phoenix two weeks from now, the 30th-2nd. We're thinking about moving to Denver, and figure that if we are going to move next year, we need to start making a decision now. I've never been to Colorado, he's been in town for a few hours near Fort Collins, so we don't know much about the area. Are there going to be any neat Halloween events going on? Any websites that you locals would recommend to get information about events? Here in AZ we've got a website run by the AZ Republic that has a lot of local info, is there anything like that? We're going to be mainly checking out downtown and looking at the cities that we've heard good things about, like Aurora and Littleton. Any other cities you all would recommend?

A little about ourselves, We're 24, don't need to be near any clubs/bars, we're an old couple at heart. We just like to grill and enjoy the outdoors ont the weekend. We would want a nice suburb with trees with somewhat nearby shopping (not in the middle of nowhere); an area that would be good for raising kids if we decide to have them. We would be interested in a condo, house preferably, in the 250,000 range. I'm a graphic designer, he's a teacher, anyone know what the market for designers is like? Sorry for all the questions, hope you guys have answers! Thanks!

If you like that sort of thing. There are quite a few Haunted Houses that I hear are pretty fabulous. My daughter says if you google haunted houses in denver you should find them. The Renke Brothers in Littleton have a good one. There is something for everyone in this town. There is the Art Museum, museum of natural history, the theater, concerts, sports, Downtown has some wonderful restaurants. And of course now is a great buyers market. Do you know where your husband would be working? What is the distance you are comfortable driving to work? Are you interested in living near light rail? Generally the farther out from Denver you get the smaller the trees.
