Default any suggestions???

i'm an 18-year old f. considering moving to the denver area to attend college. it will be my first time on my own. i have family in boulder, but pretty much it'll just be me. basically, i want to live in a SAFE area that hasn't succumbed to complete suburban hell. i've heard a few things about the lakewood area. but, i honestly don't know. i'd ask my fam. but they're relatively new to the area and have generally stayed in boulder. so, any suggestions?

depends on where school is. There are more safe areas than not. Check with the local police department.
