This might be random, but I was wondering what the Buddhist community is like in Denver and the surrounding areas? And I don't mean "California Style" Buddhism for those who know what I mean =)

I'm most interested in Theravadic communities, but in the U.S. it's hard to be picky when it comes to Buddhism

Cheers in advance.

Thanks
Katy

There is a Thai wat in Northwest Denver - near Federal and I70, I believe. I haven't been there yet - maybe next time my mom comes to visit.

And yes, I catch your drift regarding California-Style Buddhism.

Cheers, Augie. Good info. I'd still be interested to know of others if anyone knows any. I probably should have cross-posted in the Colorado forum as well, just out of curiosity, but the Denver metro area was my main point of interest.

There is a Buddhist temple in Westminster off of 108th and wads. I have a few Buddhist friends, but do not know of the community.

Well I did find this (Colorado - Dharmaweb) link which is mildly helpful. Not a lot of Theravada in the list, but a lot of good places to start.

I'd still be plenty interested if anyone has any direct experience (sorry, that's almost punny) or any more information on Buddhism and Buddhists in Denver, and in Colorado in general. Cheers!
