Thanks for the replies. I really do appreciate all of them. That townhouse in Stapleton would be almost perfect. I am not against apartments or townhouses either. I just need the garage for a toy or two.

I am certain to be working odd hours with the Sheriff department. Now I need to hope I am selected for the position. I am currently with the Wyoming Highway Patrol and left the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to come here. As we get closer I will become more aggressive and serious. But for now I am just trying to narrow down a few areas to look at. Again, thanks.

If you stay close to I-225, (i.e. not too far from it), your commute to I-70/Havana wouldn't be too bad, especially if you work odd hours like myself. I'd say 15-20 minutes max without traffic from I-225/Parker Rd.
Agree with David here. Anybody who tells you to avoid *all* of Aurora simply has no clue what the heck they are talking about. Those people like to recirculate tired old "truisms" that they have heard rather than speak from first hand, factual knowledge.

No way, there are parts of Aurora that are really nice...I doubt I could ever afford some of those homes! There are places I wouldn't live in if some one gave me the house, but Aurora is a big place....and that will happen in any big place. Even in Boulder, where a hovel costs 250,000+, there are places I wouldn't set foot in.
