I'm currently living in Utah and my fiance was relocated to Aurora. She is stuck in a hotel until we find a place, then her job will move all our stuff, me & our two dogs. I've been looking, looking, looking online (from Utah) for apartments but I want a decent apartment, one with an attached garage (if possible) and I saw there are some at Palomino Park. I've seen tons of negative reviews and I've just recently been reading more in to the reviews on apartments. So, my question for you all is...Is it worth the rent/hassle/my time to look into these apartments?? Or if there another complex that would be worth our business???

What is it the bad reviews are saying, that you are worried about?
When I was reading reviews of the place, I recall some complaints about people getting kicked out of the pool for not having their Palomino ID cards with them (which is odd, since I need mine to open the gate), and some complaints about people speeding (which has been partly mitigated by the addition of speed bumps).
So I can say those are not big concerns.
I can also say it is definitely worth checking into Palomino Park. After two years, we continue to find it a nice place to live.
The buildings with the attached garages are in Red Canyon, which are the most expensive to rent. We've been happy with our townhome in Green River, especially since a garage opened up directly across from our front door when our name came up on the garage rental waiting list.

We just looked at an apt at palomino park. It was a 1st floor 1 bedroom with study. The model looked nice. I was wondering about the community. We are in our 50s and would like a nice neighborhood quiet community. We are looking into Blue Ridge as it is cost friendly. Are there any negatives about the property and are they honest. Do they raise your rent after a year a lot. Our apt now is a 2 bedroom with attached garage. They Are raising our rent 275.00 which is unheard of. So being disabled and on a budget we have to move. Please answer and let us know if we are making the right decision to move here.

This isn't really the right place to ask. We're spread out all over the metro area, and I doubt more than one or two people who check in on this will ever have lived there.

Try this:
http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/CO-Highlands-Ranch-Palomino-Park-1653988.html

You can use this site to look at other complexes too.

However, when using this site, ignore the percentages. Many decent places have bad percentages because people overly picky people with bones to pick write one-star reviews about things like "I was kicked out when made too much noise and didn't pay my rent" or "I trashed the place and they didn't give me my security deposit back!" Read the content of the reviews, look for themes like "beg bugs," "cops," etc.

Reading the top 5 or 6...I'd be hesitant, but also a lot of these people writing sound like they're just jerks in general.

Palomino is nice. Everyone raises the rent now every year because they can.

If you want fixed payments think of buying a small house. $1500 would get you a house for $220,000 with 3.5% down. Parker has a mortgage credit program with a 4% closing cost credit.

Overall, Palomino Park is a nice place to live. Below are the plusses and minuses.

Plusses
Reasonable price
Nice grounds
Well maintained townhomes
Good maintenance response time
Friendly staff

Minuses
Hard to find parking near place
Drivers do not obey speed limit and tailgate
Takes awhile to clear roads and sidewalks of snow
People do not pick up after dogs

Other Notables
There is a LARGE Indian/Pakistan population and they are quite unfriendly to others. I don't consider this a reason to not live there, but it is something to note.
