But I spent three years of my single party hardy after college life there. Hanging out at Primanti Bros. now, huh?

Sily hippie bar I am more a Streets of London person.

You also have the Squire Lounge and of course the Satire on that stretch of Colfax. Classics all of them.

17th has the terrible and yet it won't die Parallel 17 if you want overpriced crap with bad service. Further down on 17th you have the trendy, packed and much to expensive Thin Man.

The Cricket on the Hill still has good music and cheap beer. Charlie Browns is still as interesting as ever to people watch at.

Wow, memories. I used to live in the bldg. where Charlie Browns is. That bar is an experience. lol

Squire and Satire, oh love 'em. Same w/Streets. We went to Hamburger Marys just this weekend. My friend is gay so I thought he might like it there. It seemed kind of cliquish though. We ended up at Double Daughter Salotto (martinis) and even though it's a martini spot, it was so much fun. The dj was great, the people were great, I just love it there.

Oh and has anyone been to Purple Martini in the Tabor Center? I had no idea, it's a huge black hangout! I used to go back in the day when it was in lodo and that was an entirely different crowd.

I wonder if Parallel 17 is where the Aqua Lounge used to be.

Cricket closed last March. I had only just discovered the place on closing night. Gabor's is good for a no nonsense relaxed time, a good jukebox and free pool.

Which one is Cricket on the Hill? I remember something like it right next to Gabor's, but then there's that one in Cherry Creek that mayor Hickenlooper owns, thought it had Cricket in the name.

It was on the outskirts of Cherry Creek. I swear it was called Cricket. I'll check.

ok, Cricket on the Hill is the one next to Gabor's. Or was the one. : (

Cricket On The Hill :: This Ain't No Coffee Shop (or anything else, anymore)

The Cherry Cricket is what I was thinking of. Big college crowd and burgers and pool and beer and such. I don't know if it still is, but Mayor Hickenlooper owned it. He got busted for using illegal aliens in his kitchen. Funny too because he was being loud mouthed about illegals and then whoops! Also, it seemed like their kitchen had burned down at one point. But I'm getting old so maybe that's another bar.

The Cherry Cricket
