A surprising number are indeed closed on Sundays, though the sit-down restaurants are mostly open.

Funny, I don't think I've been on the mall for years on a Sunday. The restaurants/bars are open for sure. The Pavillions too, incl. Hard Rock and Nike and Virgin. Beyond that, I don't know.

Did you just move here Subaru? I remember talking to you some time back.

icewater is on a distinguished road
I'd say maybe only about 15% are closed sundays, and most others are open reduced hours. But, I think there are many great food carts that aren't there on the weekends. Someone who works downtown could probably confirm this.

I am downtown often on the weekends as I live within walking distance. The hours are lessened but most places are open that serve food, drinks, and have basic entertainment. So to answer your question, yes, most are open. It really depends on what you are looking for as retail downtown is Gap, Banana Republic, Niketown, Barnes and Noble and movie theaters. In the Ballpark/LoDo neighborhood and around Larimer Square are tons of bars and lounges and some stores for shopping mixed in.

Once you get here, come back to ask for recommendation. I like Dixon's, Snooze for cheap sit down meals, Pavillions for movies and Z Gallerie for home stuff.
