Here's how it works....

1. Pick up your FREE Downtown Denver Deal Card at participating retailers, Downtown information kiosks (located at 16th & Welton or in Skyline Park at 16th & Arapahoe), or request to have a card mailed to you.

2. Check out all the special discounts and offers. Don't forget to sign up to receive email notifications of new deals as they become available. New deals are added daily!

FREE: New Year's Eve Fireworks to light up Downtown Denver

Welcome the arrival of 2009 on December 31st with the New Year's Eve Fireworks Downtown. The first show, beginning at 9:00 p.m., will entertain families and others looking for an early celebration, while the second show officially marks the start of the New Year at midnight. The two fireworks programs are identical, and both are launched simultaneously from dual sites along the 16th Street Mall. The display can be best viewed from any location on the 16th Street Mall, so plan to come early and enjoy dinner or drinks at an any one of Downtown Denver's 300 restaurants or bars-what a way to begin the new year!

Parade of Lights to illuminate 16th Street Mall

The 9NEWS Parade of Lights, presented by Southwest Airlines and Downtown Denver Partnership, Inc., continues to reign as the signature event of the Downtown Denver holiday season. This popular family tradition takes to the streets of Downtown on Friday, December 5 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 6th at 6 p.m . The countless sparkling lights, marching bands, giant balloons, majestic floats and delightful characters will once again wow hundreds of thousands of onlookers. Viewing along the parade route is FREE, and Grandstand tickets are sold for seating in front of the beautifully illuminated City & County building.

Open-air Christkindl Market greets shoppers in Skyline Park

The Denver Christkindl Market is once again hosting vendors from Germany and other European countries who offer quality, handcrafted gift items such as traditional hand-carved wooden figurines, handmade candles and ornaments. Traditional German food, pastries, and candy as well as authentic German beer and Glühwein are featured. The open-air holiday market is held in Skyline Park (16th & Arapahoe) from November 28 - December 23. Hours are Sunday thru Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

No, sorry, no discounts on crab - cakes or whole in Denver. I did try the steamed ones from the crab place- I ate a whole dozen, the kids eat the other dozen- not bad for $150 The plane trip and hotel would have cost me at least $400.00
