Certainly Metro Denver does seem to be a magnet for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits and sports of all types (winter sports, extreme sports, cycling, fitness, etc). It's a passion that seems to be shared by natives and transplants alike, and cuts across all the political and cultural divides as well.

Outside of that, I'd say that the native population in Metro Denver is probably too diluted by transplants to have an identifiable culture in the same ways as the upper midwest cities you described.

I said respect... not alcohol. But I might buy you a drink as a friend anyway.

Careful what you say WantToStay, it is not enough of a drinking culture for everyone.

We could easily hijack this thread right now if we wanted to... but lets not... the happy hour thread needs to break 1000 posts one day.

But at least this goes to show some of the Denver culture I guess... we are reaching across the aisle... Transplant and Native ... we should run for congress.

oh, and I'd never turn down an offer for you to buy me a drink either... I'm sure WantsToStay agrees with that statement too.... but she might substitute the word "vodka" for "a drink"

It is a good example of the type of people living here. I mean, look at the Miami forum, not so friendly. Not like this anyway. It certainly is a reflection of the people in Denver.

I can't say I've ever had a desire to venture over to the Miami forum... But I'm not surprised you're being a traitor and going there. We should lynch you for conversing with the enemy!

Excellent point! Those that do troll the Denver site are from other cities and haven't been able to let their past displeasure go. Only the happy remain, wait, why is it that you WantToGetHitByAHurricane?
