I've looked at some posts about five points, curtis park area from a couple of years back. It seemed like the area was on a bit of an upswing. Can anyone share about more current status, esp. for families - specifically, the area around 28th and stout?

Many thanks

The area you're referring to (Five Points) has a gang problem, although it's significantly decreased than about 5 years ago, and won't likely pose any problems for visitors or residents. Breaks in are somewhat common, and the crime rate is one of the highest in Denver, despite its being drastically lowered. It's not exactly 'ghetto', although it was before- but there are still risks involved with this neighborhood.

You need to call the Denver Police department about crime.

I've seen lot of nice people move there without issue.
