I love the laid back atmosphere here, much more laxed than any other city I've lived in.

On I-25 yesterday, I let somebody get over in front of me. instead of the standard wave, or even the occasional peace symbol, this dude stuck his hand out the window and gave me this:

LOL. I love it here.

I have to say, accommodating employers is an individual thing, has nothing to do with Denver. I've had some very un-accommodating ones.

I was just thinking about how much I love living here as I watched the fireworks from my sofa with patriotic music playing in the background. We can see 8 fireworks displays from our backyard. 3 are fully visible. 1 slightly cut off and another 4 on the horizon.

We went out to dinner in Louisville this week and the place was buzzing. All the patios were full, people were strolling around, kids were riding bikes and everyone was having a great time. We were there on Tues. which, I think, is the day they have their farmers market. It was just a great vibe and we had a wonderful time.

We went to lunch at Orchard Town Center last weekend. I always feel like I'm on a resort holiday when I go there. The kids were playing in the fountain, people were milling everywhere and the vibe always feels very fun and festive to me.

I can also take a secluded walk right out my back gate, visiting the local lake and seeing wildlife, every day which I do also.

Just about every day I'm grateful to live here.

Tamales from La Popular. Mexican food doesn't get much better than those.
