Might not fit all your needs, but have you considered east of Denver along the I-70 corridor, including the towns of: Watkins, Bennett and Strasburg. 125K goes a long way on the eastern plains, plus a fast commute on I-70.

Yes I have looked out this way, it would fit my needs, but there doesn't seem tobe much housing priced in my range. When I do searches in those towns I get buckus.
