Hello everybody! I am moving from Los Angeles to Denver and want to introduce myself to all you fun people! Let me say first that I have been lurking for awhile now and have found the answers to most of my questions right here on this site! The home City-Data site is awesome, but that search feature here in the forums is truly nifty! (Can you tell I’m over fifty? Ha!) Everything I've had questions about is so easy to find the answers to! Thank you ALL so much for all your help!
Secondly, I *have* to thank all of you who contribute those wonderful pictures of Denver’s majestic splendor. It makes me wish I was there next week!
…Oh wait! I AM there next week! Wooohooo! I am going to be doing a week-long exploratory trip and job hunt the 17th through the 24th (possibly longer, depending on circumstances.) I will also be looking to rent a house or townhome. I’ve read so many great things here about so many great areas. So I can’t wait to just drive around and take it all in. I have lists of agencies, companies and headhunters (thank-you, Careerbuilder) who are looking to still hire, even in this economy. I have my maps, my laptop, my phone, and my camera. I’m staying near Cherry Creek, AND I’m so excited I can hardly sleep at night.
For those of you who wish to know a little more about me, I am a single, (I mentioned over 50) energetic and hard-working female Executive Assistant in the Financial Services industry who enjoys writing, golfing, movies, champagne, hot dogs, computer games, dogs and cats (of which I have 1 each) and other animals, and obviously… Denver!
Thanks for reading, and please post or contact me if you have any questions, or especially any suggestions! I’ll be lurking around!
