Just wanted to pass this on. I was in Ace today and they were selling CFL bulbs for $1. Xcel is doing an instant rebate. This was at an Ace in downtown Denver. So, I don't know which ones are participating.

They had the deal on individual bulbs. 40,60,75, and 100 watt equivalent bulbs. Ace had them marked for around $4.50. So, it was a great deal to get 9 for about 9 bucks!

It is good for 12 per person and runs through April.

Bummer. I bought a million of those for my house, usually the six or eight packs of 60 watters. Get the lowest temperature ones, called soft white, not the daylight ones. Soft light looks the same as incandescent.

I've had issues with the Sylvania branded 3-ways.... I've been through 8 in 14 months (bought 3, keep getting replacements from Sylvania). FWIW
