Default Trolls

Jeez, I get annoyed at myself when I rise to their bait.

I'm fighting this fight right now. Keep away from the "Californians moving to Colorado in Droves" thread. Gah! I can't stand it. Not...going...to...get...sucked...in....

haha, I'm sucked into the 30s without kids for now. But honestly, that's not a troll thing, more of a thoughtful, intelligent debate, which I greatly enjoy. As long as people are respectful, I really like intellectual conversations. But yeah, mindless drivel like "all those stinking _________ (fill in the blank) people are taking over Colo. are just silly. I hope more people come to Denver in droves so that someday quick it'll become a bigger city. I still want the outer parts filled in. lol, although I bet you don't formercalifornian!!!

I seriously don't have strong feelings either way. While in California, I lived in a mostly rural county north of San Francisco, and I visited the city almost every weekend. When I lived in Maryland, I also lived in a mostly rural county west of Baltimore, but I drove the twenty minutes into the city every Sunday so I could attend an urban church and spend the day at the Inner Harbor. We also took the train to D.C. at least once a month to explore our nation's capitol city with our children. I think both ways of life can be wonderful.

But, anyway, the "Californians in Droves" thread was in serious danger of becoming another futile debate between pro-gays and anti-gays, and I just don't have the energy or time for it today.

BTW, anybody know what happened to the looking-for-a-nice-conservative-town-in-Colorado thread? It seemed to vanish very quickly, but before it disappeared I clicked through to the poster's history and saw that he had made the same request of no fewer than ten state's forums. What the heck? Is he doing some sort of research study?

I suppose I feel sort of strongly because I'm one of those non-kid couples and I do get attacked when I'm often asked if I have kids. It becomes a little bit tiresome in explaining why because most people who ask me just can't understand how I could not possibly want them?!?

But yes, two ways of life, I don't think either is bad.

I never read the Calif. thread, so I guess I'm good!

Re: The conservative town thread, no idea what happened to it. It could have been research, who knows?

I'm a kid person myself, but I believe it's a personal choice. Both are valid ways to live. Do what makes you happy.

The conservative town thread was spam and all 12 posts were deleted, as it was reported as such.

Wanto, whenever people ask me why we have no kids, they get one of three responses from me:
  1. Do they cost more than 500.00?
  2. Because I'd be a really bad parent.
  3. No thanks, we have plenty in the freezer.
I get weird looks, but they don't bug me no more.
