Colorado, Here I Come!
I've been posting on and reading this forum for over a year now, and am happy to announce that I will officially be moving to Colorado in May. So look for more posts about how to get a job in the next few months.
I'm headed for Denver/Boulder, and can't wait. Thanks for all of the great advice from the regular posters, and keep it coming!

Can't wait to hear about the job thing <g>...I'm doing the long distance job hunt and it's not exactly productive! Might have to schedule a trip to get some face time in once I can afford to do so. Congrats on moving to CO!

I just did the same thing. the best advice I can give is to try and blend in with the locals. Regionalism is a powerful factor in hiring when times are tuff. I applied for my CO license ASAP and have seen more responses already. There is also Denverjobs.com you can try.

I really want to move to Denver Colorado. I currently live in North New Jersey. Has anyone successfully found full time job before moving out to Colorado. I have been applying nonstop for a week for sales/marketing jobs but no one has called me yet. I know I am not that horrible of a worker LOL. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We moved here jobless, but I had unemployment and a good severance package to keep me going. I started my search from California, and got no responses. Once I was here, it took about 2.5 months to be employed. Of course that was back in 2005 when the economy wasn't going down the crapper, or at least not the way it is today.

OMG, sounds like an impossible task at hand. Nevertheless, have some great ideas from the CD Denver posters. Just to let you know, I opened up a UPS Store mailbox on Larimer and 16th, its a great way to get a local address on your resume. I also plan on getting a CO drivers license while I'm there next week. Again, another way to show you are a CO resident. Other than that, I'll see where it goes. I'm expecting to be employed, at least one way or another by Memorial Day. I may be commuting for awhile, but at least I'll be in a better place......
BTW, I have a 303 phone#, a necessity while job hunting, most definitely.
