I am trying to find weekend classes in drawing and painting for adults. I've checked with the local community colleges but they keep cancelling classes due to lack of enrollment. If anybody is aware of any community centers, rec centers, anything, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Hi - Check the Art Student League of Denver: www.asld.org

I have another post on here asking about ASLD but I have not had any replies yet. The class selection looks great!

Just replied to dundermifflin question about the Art Student League of Denver. Also, check out Colorado Free University - Colorado Free University, Colorado's premier continuing education resource!
You pay a small fee and buy your own materials.

Best wishes!

How come when I asked fellow artists for recommendations for art supply stores, there seemed to be no artisits on here, but as soon as someone offers to pay $$$ for a class they come out of the woodwork?

They've got art classes at the Trails recreation center in SE Aurora/Centennial. You can go to their website: Home.

I think the city of Aurora offers classes as well, but you'll have to Google it to find their website.

If you don't live in the area, don't sign up for classes as it's pretty expensive to pay out-of-area prices.

The city of Aurora's Cultural and Rec departments offers new classes every quarter. You can find them in the quarterly issue of Leisure Living:
