Default I have 2 half days next week - what should I do & eat?

I'll have two days from noon till night next week when I'm in town for business. What are my "have to see/do before I die" when I'm there? I'm not crazy about a museum unless it's something that just has to be seen? I'll have my camera so an area to take pics is nice.

Also, where should I eat? I'm going to be solo and each meal must be less than $20 including tip. Anyplace special or unique to Denver? Is there such a thing as Colorado food?

Finally, is there an independent coffee shop in town where I can sit for a couple of hours, drink coffee, and use free internet?

Thanks!!!!

Check out this article 36 Hours in Denver - NYTimes.com for some ideas. There are a couple of museums listed but it does give some other ideas too. I would check out the Tattered Cover bookstore in LoDo and while you're down there you can grab a bite to eat at McCormick's on Wazee St and visit Union Station. You can ride the bus up 16th Street almost as far as the Capitol Building which you must climb - all the way to top of the dome if it's open or at least as far as the Mile High step outside.

Also take a look at HEMISPHERES MAGAZINE - Denver.

Check out Denver Mayor Hickenlooper's brewery restaurant in Lodo--Wynkoop Brewery--that's where many true locals eat and drink..Great Burgers and vegetarian green chili ..can't beat the beer there...actually everything is great ..If your in Cherry Creek check out Cherry Cricket, Cucina Colore or Campo Di Fiori...Bonnie Brae/Wash Park area has Saucy Noodle (homestyle italian) and Bonnie Brae Pizza both neighborhood favorites..DTC has a place called JING.. Upscale Asian influenced place,,sister restaurant is in Aspen--excellent food..Sushi Den on South Gaylord street in Platt Park area is fantastic and is a Denver insider's local fave...A few dining options to consider..The Market in Larimar Square is a pretty cool coffee place downtown...St. Marks uptown is a pretty nice laid back place for a cup of Joe..And of course there is Paris on The Platte( kind of long time Denver institution)...
