Please read this...urgent for the safety of the familys of Highlands Ranch
Recently there has been an up in gang activity in Highlands Ranch. I know what you all are thinking, that this is Highlands Ranch therefore no kids here have even seen a ghetto. This is not true at all. I have been observing this gang activity and gotten history on some of the Blood members in Highlands Ranch. They are all from large urban slums in cities such as: Seattle, Wahington. Orlando, Florida, Los Angeles, California, Denver, Colorado. Do remember that Compton, California, one of the most dangerous ghettos in the country, used to be the same type of neighborhood as Highlands Ranch. Everybody there thought that since it was a rich neighborhood that gangs could not infest the area, and look at what happened to it. I would reccomend to all citizens of Highlands Ranch to stay safe and take this seriously.

Where does this information come from? Can you site any news sources, articles, police statistic that you used in your "observing" above?

Okay, Gangexpert... To just throw out that bomb with out any other supportive information is not helpful at all. I spent 15 years as a Police Officer in the South Metro area, and yes there are some areas/people that we do keep an eye on. However, most all of the criminal offenses are property related, and people do not have to "worry" about thier safety. Highlands Ranch has a very low crime rate, and I would say a very safe area based on 15 years of working down there.
Keep the basics in mind:
Dont leave vauluables in your car
Lock your doors and windows, even if you are home
be aware of your surroundings
dont invite crime into your house.
Talk to your local authorities if you have any concerns about what's going on in your area.
Get Involved and report suspicious activity!

Actually there is some truth to what Gangexpert posts, and I am not invalidating it. Parents do need to watch their kids, and get involved in their kids lives and not just assume that they are not up to criminal activity.
But for the most part... Soccer mom's is correct.

So a poster called "Gangexpert" shows up with this being a 2nd post and makes a pretty outlandish claim. Anyone else opening wide for the shovel-full being slung your way?

Well i did not get the info from police or anything. I am not a parent. I am a 15 year old kid and a former member of the Bloods. I am friends with these gang members and I can tell you that they are not messing around.

I didn't realize you could be a former member of a gang, and still friends with active members of the gang. Seriously, I thought that wasn't looked upon very favorably by those still in the life, so to speak. Forget about the masses in HR, are you safe?
I did notice some new graffiti popping up around HR in the past couple weeks.
As a former Blood, what would you recommend be done to make HR safer?
