Think I want to meet with a local realtor.. maybe do a buyers agent thing.. if anyone has a suggestion please spit it out
Thanks in advance!
I guess I'm looking for this sort of person/realtor
- No bs, just talks straight
- Into budget homes and super good deals, meaning they keep an eye out and do find them..
- Works with cash buyers..

I don't know any Realtors who wouldn't love to work with a cash ready to buy buyer.
Sometimes it's hard to match Realtor to Buyer without understanding the Buyer's expectations.
Realtors are bound by the Code of Ethics to be honest.
Our real estate contracts and licensee information are available on the Real Estate Commissions website.

Yah, you can say that stuff.. but most realtors I've met feel sleezy.. I don't want your average "I need a sale" realtor..
I want a realtor.. that would treat you like family..
Like as if they were helping you get your first place and really cared.. a realtor that really knows the bus and can give advice and is in it the long term.. not a rush process.. as I said this isn't exactly every realtor I'm describing is it?

We recently moved here and are in the process of purchasing a home here. Our Realtor is great...she definitely treats us like family. She seems to be very knowledgeable, and is always ready to answer any questions I have, and has provided some great information regarding non-housing issues as well. I don't know the rules about naming names here (I know they don't allow advertising), but if you'd like her name, feel free to PM me.

From the 2008 Buyer Seller NAR Survey:
Wouldn’t you like to know how buyers find the real estate agent they use?
* Referred by (or is) a friend, neighbor, or relative 40%
* Used agent previously to buy/sell a house 13%
* Visited open house and met agent 7%
* Walked into/called office and agent was on duty 4%
* Internet Site 7%

I found my Realtor with research...I knew which "brand" I wanted to use (i.e. which major RE chain), and from there, I read agent bios and testimonials. The agent we chose had very good testimonials, and I liked how she presented herself on her website. I wasn't disappointed...she's been great. A really sweet person too!

Ahh.. who to choose?
Are these realtors.. mid level house types? (cause they sound like it)
I'm looking for a deals realtor low end/budgetary.. I'm surprised to here 2bindenver that you deal so low.. I kind of always got the feeling you were ritzy type (high end) being in highlands ranch area..

How do you tell a good realtor from a bad realtor in these dying economic times? (Told to me by a realtor, by the way . . . )
A bad realtor is the one bullying his way in front of the pregnant welfare mom at the local social services office.
A good realtor is the one who responds courteously and quickly when you call "Waiter."
