That AT&T building looks like a state prison.

Now THIS is original! Commerce City is one place I've never been to-- only having driven by on 270. I like those hole in the wall diners. This area stands in 100% complete contrast to places like the Denver Tech Center. These are the kind of scenes that are straight out of the movie "Things to do in Denver when you're dead." I wish I could transfer the rep point I gave you earlier to this photo tour-- this one is pretty cool.

Great tour! I love watching the Commerce City Refinery at night. When you drive by it looks like the opening scenes in the movie "Blade Runner," what with the lights and the fire snorting out the top of the refineries.
Anyway, a great tour of Denver's heavy industrial core.
Though I should mention that the first half of your tour is not Commerce City, as I'm sure you're aware. (Saying this for the benefit I saw some shots around Regis, some shots on the border of Northwest Denver and unincorporated Adams County, Globeville, Elyria-Swansea, and THEN Commerce City.

Well I thought I did. It smelt like money. At least where people were working and shopping!
When I think of Commerce City, I don't think of places to live, but rather places to work. But in and around these industrial badlands lerks a place to live... like that new townhome section right smack dab in the middle of all this! There are some rough areas around here though that I wouldn't want my vehicle to break down or run out of gas in.

Right! My intent was to put together about 6 photo threads, but I didn't know how to do it.
There was the trip up I-25 from southern Colorado through Colorado Springs and Denver on the way to Boulder. There was a Flagstaff Boulder section, then a Pearl Street Mall and Vinyl Record place (HH! Thanks for the advice, btw... was this the place you were talking about?), then the Regis/Hilltop area was sort of a trip from Arvada (at Wadsworth and 52nd) to Commerce City via our little 52nd ave short cut. I didn't accomplish my goal to touring much of my Commerce City mission as I was driving around while the wife was at a baby shower. So I did the best I could with limited time.
Thx 4 checkin' them out! Pleas check out my other pic threads: Boulder 1 and Boulder 2, I-25 through Colorado Springs (which is actually south end of Springs to beyond Castle Rock), I-25 through the Denver Metro, and the few Regis/Hilltop photos I took.
Flashforward to Vegas: Oh, absolutely! Oh, and I shouldn't have called it the Arvada to Commerce City pics because I really didn't do any pics of Arvada. But I was keying in on the fact that there's a shortcut from Arvada TO Commerce City, if you know where it's at. So you could live in Arvada, but work in Commerce City. That type of thing.

Reason: Top of the World Ma! When you're leaving Denver, you're goin' nowhere!

Thanks for letting me know about those, McGowdog! I'll go take a look. I never even read those other forums... after all, Denver is the only REAL city in Colorado, right?

Coming from MI, I think of Commerce City as a "mini Gary, IN"

I really enjoyed these Pictures of Commerce City. You need to get off the highway to see some real interesting places.
One of the old mainstay restaurants in Commerce City is Gala Gardens. It is nothing fancy but it sure has a big following, especially with the senior crowd. Gala Gardens
It is not too far from the largest flea market in the area, Mile High Flea Market
Mile High Flea Market This place is worth a trip, at least once.
