Hi gang,
I've been reading this forum for about 2 years, gathering info, preparing for a move to Denver this summer. We signed a contract on a place in Belmar which fits our desires perfectly, both being in a "walkable" neighborhood and its proximity to the mountains. All your banter, back and forth, has been very helpful in reaching this goal, and here's my Thank You for it. Now to sell our house in PA...

Hey, welcome to Colorado! I love the Belmar area by the way. Come to one of our get togethers!! The more the merrier. We have alcohol and non-alcohol meet ups!

Nice! You know, I initially didn't like BelMar, but the more I go over there, the more I like it. The Press is a great little coffee shop, in my opinion.

I've never been! Has Belmar gotten bigger since a year or two ago?

Welcome! I'm glad we could help. I"ve only been to Belmar once, but I like the west side of town in general.

Very nice to hear from you. I used this forum too when I moved here from Baltimore about 18 months ago. Everyone was great and helped so much, that I now regularly pop in and try to help when I can. I spent my first year in Wash Park and had a blast thanks to the advice in here.

I learn new things about Denver all the time in here!

Welcome Tolife and eventually BarryK123! BelMar is coming around nicely. There is still building happening, all residential. The commercial has pretty much been completed and I use the movie theater, P.F. Chang and Ted's Montana Grill there all the time. Summer time finds Bel Mar to be the location for the ever growing Italian Festival. Great location for easy access to the foothills and some great bike paths near by. BelMar is in Lakewood, which is in Jefferson County.

Don't forget about the ice rink in Belmar. Are they still doing that?

Yes. When I was there a few weeks ago, they said it closed for the season at the end of Feb. Too warm this winter?
