BEST Hotels/Resorts for Business Event in 2010
Need some help from the locals, please!
My company does an annual training the last weekend in February. Each year we go to a new city, and we are looking at Denver for 2010. Before I start googling like a madwoman, can anyone recommend the BEST hotels/resorts for 3-4 days of corporate meetings and training for around 300 people?
Said resort doesn't have to be right near the airport, but somewhere within the heart of Denver (it should be relativey easy to get to from the airport, though). Close to night life, shopping, etc. It also has to have great meeting/banquet space, comfortable guest rooms, and generally just be impressive to the eye. : )
I'd appreciate any help I can get! Thanks!

Not near downtown, but if you want a true "resort," look at the Inverness Hotel.

I would suggest the Westin Tabor Center Denver
The Westin Tabor Hotel - Denver, CO Hotel - Reservations at westin.com
Why, because it is attached to the Tabor Center
Welcome to Tabor Center which has shops and restaurants.
It is also on the 16th Street Mall which has shops, free shuttle through the heart of Downtown and access to Light Rail for quick excursions to other locations in the Metro area
Downtown Denver Partnership
It is across the street from Larimer Square Larimer Square :: The Best Shopping, Dining & Nightlife in Downtown Denver the redeveloped area of old Denver.
It is within a very short walking distance of all the Restaurants and Nightlife of LoDo The LoDo District which the redeveloped area of Lower Downtown, or you can take the free 16th St. Mall Bus.
Yes, in this location you have it all in one spot. It exceeds all your requirements. Also, the SkyRide Bus, Route AF, from the airport, goes direct to Market Street Station, on the 16th Street Mall, right near the Westin Hotel, a very easy walk.

I do not work for the hotel. I am just an old retired man that knows Denver well. This was a fun post to put together.

I agree with the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. It is an experience unlike the typical big city hotel/meeting center.

The Curtis
The Curtis:
Downtown Denver Hotel: The Curtis Hotel in Downtown Denver Colorado
It's a quirky fun hotel in a great location. I recently had a business meeting there and it was great. Not sure if they can accommodate a group your size, but it might be worth asking.
