Rainy weather in Florida that may be a few degrees warmer or sunny weather in Colorado that takes the chill away?

It rains very little in Florida from Nov. to April. On average, central and south FL are a lot warmer than Denver is in the Winter. Here in Tampa Bay, it is as sunny as Denver, and the infrequent overcast day can be a welcome relief.

I went on a vacation to south Florida back in February to "escape the cold." They were having unusually cold weather in Florida, and unusually warm weather in Denver. The day we arrived, the high in Denver was 68 degrees, while the high in Miami was only 60 degrees. Go figure!

holy cow I thought I was the only person in Denver wanting to move to Florida. Do you have 100 people working harder than they do at their jobs to convince you otherwise? Or are you smarter than me and just don't say anything???

This is a ridiculous and obnoxious statement. Some of us work hard for our money and use our brains at the same time. Florida makes for an awesome vacation and when we have those days of below zero, heck ya I'm out of here. I usually try for a southern country.

We were there looking at houses at the exact same time. What a ripoff, haha! But, my Mom was down there recently and everyone said it's been the coldest winter they've had in 10 years. Not bad when it only gets down to the 30's at night for one night, then it's over.

Haha, yeah, well only when I post on this forum. If we had an ocean here and you could grow lychees and mangosteens like you can in S. Florida, I'd stay here.

yeah, I figured. I get so sick of total idiots spouting their opinions on Florida. I am planning specifically on Miami, but yet it's amazing how every person who is hell bent on talking me out of it isn't even from there. Usually it's someone from Tampa, or Jacksonville or Orlando. Not that their opinion doesn't count, I just find it weird that they care so much. What do they care what I do??
So back to topic, it can and does get cold here. We went to Mexico in Jan. once to escape the cold, and oh man it was miserable flying back here in the sleet and snow.

The OP seems to think this is like Barrow Alaska where people flee to warmer temps. before they put a bullet in their head.

It was a horribly cold "Winter" here in FL this year. That said, I was at a music festival in St. Pete yesterday, virtually "dying" from the heat on March 15th.
