What was the first fun thing you did when you moved to Denver?
Hello,
Can anyone tell me what is the first fun thing, activity or otherwise you did when you moved to Denver, that you could not do where you moved from?
Thanks

Drove into the mountains and pulled over to the side of the Peak to Peak Highway at a random spot where I could just stand and look at miles and miles of Rocky Mountain wilderness. Not a house or a pylon or another road in sight.
I used to live in Minnesota - not many moutains up there

I mountain biked and rode my motorcycle. It really set me back unpacking

Found the Peet's Coffee in Cherry Creek North, refeuled, and then started the work on finding an apartment, since I wasn't successful in lining something up before I actually moved. It helped me to calm down a bit because I was upset about having trouble with finding an apartment, and I liked Peet's in California, so it felt familiar to me even though I had never been to that particular location.
I know this isn't as fun as "I drove to the mountains" ... but I did that the next weekend!

Stretched my legs, walked the dog, and unpacked my car. Then I watched the evening news.
Sorry, no mountain hugging story here!

My husband had been to Casa Bonita as a kid, wanted to take me there. Needless to say, it was "interesting"!

Drove and walked around Red Rocks. Drove up Mt. Evans. Went snowboarding in summit county.
