Hi all, I'm new to Denver, been here about a month. I'm not an alcohol drinker but love tea and going to new places. I would be up for this meet-up, although I work 1-6 on the 17th, so any time before that or after that is cool. Not sure what's happening the 24th, but I work part-time, so most likely anything could work with enough notice. I look forward to meeting some new people

17th is too close for others to plan. I did put some dates out, but got distracted after that.

24th should be good. I was thinking some place near the tech center. Would that work for you?

24th it is, then Brunch?? Lunch??

Anyone's got place suggestions? I can pretty much do everything, even Chick Fil A

There are places near park meadows mall, but they can get a little pricey too. Tons of places across Arapahoe. And there's a certain pancake place on belleview that I've gotten addicted to - original house of pancakes, for I have grown to dislike IHOP

Depending on how many people show up, Little Anita's is an option.

LOL, my husband got food poisoning at an IHOP in Champaign, IL about 30 years ago. He has never darkened the door of an IHOP since.

IHOP holds a special place in my heart still.

They shut their doors down by 10 and I would crash in by 9:50pm, after wandering mindlessly in the streets And this is when the people inside would be closing everything down and packing up and they still will make me pancakes.

A short while earlier, I'd have spent some time around the lake nearby, brooding in the cold. A month earlier Lehmann Brothers had crashed, Wachovia & Morg Stanley was going insane by the way and BoA was struggling as well, all banks. And I was literally waiting to find out when they would fire me. I was sending out resumes every day to 10 different jobs across the states. And this condition persisted for days, and I crashed into IHOP at least 10 times, that strip of days. Remember each one of them.

And then I came to Denver

The IHOP near Arapahoe's just terrible, I felt something went wrong with their pancakes, their omelettes and their hash browns. Something wrong. It just didn't bamboozle me

But the OPH in the tech center's just cool. This morning I grabbed Nebraska corn pancakes and egg whites.

I'm still planning on it. When/where did we all want to meet?
