Article today says that up to 500 Engineering and Construction jobs will relocate from Boise to Denver during 2010. I'd expect there to be some new jobs opening up as a part of this corporate relocation and restructuring.

Default Jobs in/around Denver

I am planning on moving to Denver from SC later this year around Sept. I don't have a job lined up, but I can last 6 months (if I can at least find a $10/hr. job) before I dig too deep into my savings and 12 before I go broke. I'm a licensed civil engineer with an MBA and am hoping to land a job in project management, but I know the construction field is almost dead right now. How hard do you think it will be to find a job that pays at least $10/hr? I've applied to positions I'm both qualified and way over-qualified for, but it's either no response or I hear that I'm over-qualified. I'm also willing to wait tables, bartend, etc...whatever it takes until I can find a higher-paying, steady job. Should I just not worry about it and know that it will be easier to find a job once I move there? I've thought about it a good bit, but would appreciate some input on what others think. Thanks
