Default Evergreen or Kittredge?

It looks like I am about to inherit a 1+ acre building lot on Troublesome Gulch Road in Evergreen. I've never been there (yet!!). When I map it, the address looks like it is closer to the 'city center' of Kittredge than to Evergreen, although it has an Evergreen zip code and legal address. Can anyone tell me ANYTHING (!!!) about this area, or these two places? How are they different?
I know nothing and want to get educated fast. Thanks.

For all intents and purposes, the two areas are just a little bit down the road from each other. There's little difference as to terrain or housing available in each, it's just a township identity.

Evergreen has a more centralized "downtown" area for business, while Kittridge has "strip malls" along the main highway.

Nice area, you may have inheirited a very valuable piece of property.

Smile I live in Kittredge

Everyone is confused about Evergreen, Kittredge and the address. If you live in Kittredge and have PO Box at the post office you have a Kittredge address. If you have your mail delivered you have an Evergreen address.

Kittredge is a small town but has quite a few businesses. It is about 2 miles into Evergreen which is a much bigger area - gorcery stores, banks, schools, sport fields, Dr. offices, rec. center, etc. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area. We love living here. Jean

oddly enough the homes on one side of 74 are in Evergreen and the other side Kittredge. I drive behind the Kittredge post office to get to my house which is in Evergreen.
