The video was very vague. Is it simply a peaceful protest, or is there something more to it?

They certainly have been peaceful thus far. I haven't been asked to bring tar or feathers or the like, so I think it'll be ok.

I went to the one a few weeks ago because I work near the Capitol and it was convenient. It was peaceful.

There is a lot about these tea parties on "Politics and Other Controversies". Go over there and take a look. They are anti-tax protests, kind of anti-Obama. But hey, as an old hippie, I say go for it if you want!

These rallies are very anti-Obama by definition and sponsorship.

They are organized by WorldNetDaily, NewsMax and various conservative talk radio hosts.

FYI: I am not political by nature because of my job...

Most of the tea parties are put on by individuals, like the one being held in CO springs and Denver on Apr 15th. I will be there as long as they stay for the most part non-partisan. I have a few Democrat, and Republican friends that will be attending with me.

That would be my expectation...although I might say they are anti-Obama's policies/agenda rather than against the man himself.

Now I'm curious. What do you do for a living, WB? I know when my husband worked for the govt we couldn't support any particular candidate or political position publicly (i.e. bumper stickers, yard signs, donations).
