Coors Field in Denver has been chosen to host this year's All-Star Game, sources told ESPN's Buster Olney on Monday.

MLB opted to move the game out of Atlanta due to voting laws passed in Georgia last month.

It will mark the second time the homer-friendly home of the Colorado Rockies will host the Midsummer Classic. The American League beat the National League 13-8 at Coors in 1998.

I believe this is the first All-Star Game since the NBA in 2005? Pretty exciting!

Very cool is right. I am so glad Denver is far away from the political insanity currently happening in some southern states.

Maybe this will put some pressure on the city to get the construction mess at the airport fixed. One can hope

Political bull, is just one reason we moved back to Colorado from northeastern Florida. Note the word "back".

I believe that Jared just cemented his re-election effort.

I'm sure the Colorado GOP clown car will give him an assist with that by nominating an unelectable idiot like Lauren Boebert, Ken Buck, George Brauchler, Patrick Neville, or Jeff Toborg as their gubernatorial candidate in 2022.

I'm just pissed Georgia didn't pass their voting laws earlier so we coulda skipped out on the stupid NBA all star game and had 8 less shootings... Thankfully baseball is a much more sedated crowd.

Seems kinda petty on the NBA but whatever. At least Denver's stadium right downtown, so it'll help boost back the downtown that got ravaged by no one being there any more. ATLs stadium is further out.

On another note, downtown Atlanta by the capitol is like a clone of downtown Denver in that there's hoards of homeless camping around the capitol, everything's fenced off, trashed, graffitied... 2020 trashed CBDs everywhere.
