Wow, you touched on a lot of memories.
The mom of my best friend in high school was a DU prof.
We hung around the campus a lot, got served underage at the Stadium Inn, went a to a wedding at Evans Chapel (late April, it snowed) rented on Iliff directly across from Observatory Park, looked through the telescope there, and then, as an adult, ate many a lunch at Mustard's Last Stand with my born-in-Chicago husband.
Finally, the ceremony for my oldest son's high school graduation was at the Ritchie Center. Full circle.

Awesome photo tour, just a few clarification points in response to the captions:

1. The neighborhood directly east of campus is Observatory Park.

2. The three story building with the zig-zag roof line is Johnson-McFarlane Hall, the oldest dormitory still around.

3. The Iliff School of Theology and DU are separate entities, but still slightly entwined. DU was founded as a Methodist school but now that relationship is largely historical. But they share a campus and manage a doctoral program in religious studies jointly.

Default Thanks

Hi MobyLL - I graduated from D.U. in 1988, but haven't been back to the campus for awhile! Thanks for the great pics. Happy Holidays.
