Hello Again -

Job secured, house secured, move date to Denver in the books for May1st.
Next question: We will be living in Douglas County (The Roxborough Park area) and renting until we are sure what area we really want to be in. Yes I know Roxborough is considered "remote" by some, I don't need to debate it, the natural beauty and closeness to both the state park and Chatfield were a big motivator to me (an avid hiker) - and the fact that I can get to my work without a highway if I desire is huge.

Does anyone know anything about youth sports leagues down that way, even if we have to drive to Highlands Ranch? My daughter is an avid softball player and I need to see how to get that in process.
I did some internet searching and it looks like Highlands Ranch has a team (which is 20 mins from our house at most) - but the website is giving me an error.
Just wondered if anyone knows anything on that here. Would like to see if there's any chance of getting her a spot this spring - though some things make me think softball is a fall sport out there - very confusing since it's always been spring.

We are super excited to have this process in motion - just trying to figure out all the details.

Thanks in advance

MIchelle

Just for clarification's sake, Denver Youth Sports is ironically the name of youth leagues in the city/county of Denver (not where you are, nor where you are looking). When I saw that, I thought I'd be able to help (my kids occasionally participate, I used to coach), but you're looking in a different area (one that I don't have knowledge of).

Whoops - clearly i wasn't sure which area to really call it? Highlands Ranch? Roxborough? Littleton? As a former coach in a Pittsburgh surburan area I have familiarity with leagues within an hour radius any way - i guess i was hoping to find a coach in Denver with similar experience to point me in the right direction. Thanks for the reply.

First of all softball is a fall sport for high school. This is actually a great advantage for the girls because the fields are in awesome shape for the season. HS boys baseball is played in the spring and has to deal with brown grass, hard infields, windy and cold conditions.

Club softball is played in the from about March through October, depending on the team. Here is a list of softball leagues in the metro area that you might try.
