Help me contain my miscreant self :=/
I have hit upon an evil idea to buy a mask, have it on and start a swine flu scare.
I really wanna drive nose mask sales up
Perhaps it might really help me from getting infected? Does anyone know of reported cases in CO? Should we be worried?

The news last night reported a local doctor submitted a case that he thought was swine flu to the CDC for confirmation. However, the news channel said it was just a submission with no confirmation.
You can just as easily get a flu virus through your eyes and ears as you can from your mouth and nose. It is better for someone who has it to cover themselves to prevent spreading it then for those who don't have it to wear a mask.
Overall, I think your thougths are dark and crazy, not just because of this post, but becuase I have met you for a meet and greet! LOL -

cbs4denver RT @JamieMK Good luck trying to find masks at drug & discount stores. They are flying off the shelves. Are people hoarding supplies? [Yes]

A lot of us happen to be traveling to Mexico very soon. (ahem, me). Docs are not prescribing anti-flu meds and it is recommended to wear a mask in the airport and on the plane. I always get sick on the plane, stupid recirculating air. Once we are in town, masks are off!
Thing is, we've had more people die from just the flu alone annually than the swine cases we have now. All who've had it (U.S.) are recovered or are recovering.
Also, Mexico is kinda big. The majority of the cases are in Mexico City, which is a crazy city in and of itself. But to be worried to go to the Yucatan would be like being worried about visiting Denver when a flu outbreak is in NYC.
Panicking just makes things worse. Simply washing your hands is a good thing and probably not kissing the stranger next to you with that gawd awful cough.

That person should try the airport. They are handing them out there (DIA and in Mexico).

Yes, not to mention: lightning strikes, train derailment, and asfixiation from fresh interior paint.
And yet, everyone around me on the freeway still seems to think that 75mph is too slow and that they can indeed drive and text the same time.
The swine flu is just the latest scourge for the news media to latch onto and create another panic... as if the populace needs more things to panic about right now.

I think most of the guys at the gym have had Swine Flu for a long time. They snort, burp, fart, cuss for no reason, pee/poop and don't wash their hands, take 2 minute showers - if at all!

You can not find a mask in a drug store (I know, I looked, ny boss is traveling to China and wanted one). I did find a box of 50 masks for $9 at Lowes!!
