Where are you coming from?
If it happens, I'd be coming from Albany, NY in August.

Why are you moving to Denver?
I was born and raised in Albany and I'd like to live somewhere else for a while. I'd be a graduate student at DU for a two-year stint.

Do you have a job lined up, or are you taking the plunge?
No job yet, but I've just started looking looking. Trying to find something more-or-less full-time since classes would be in the evening. I may end up "taking the plunge" but I'd really really prefer to have something lined up in advance.

Anything else
I'm still not sure about housing/neighborhoods. Like a job, I'd like to have something set before I head out.

Where are you coming from?

Wilmington, Delaware

Why are you moving to Denver?

10 vacations to Colorado in 3 years has got me hooked! I love the weather, the people, the mountains, the city...everything about it!

Do you have a job lined up, or are you taking the plunge?

I'm very fortunate to work for a Fortune 500 company that's allowing me to relocate my office to one in Denver! Otherwise, I can't say I'd be taking the plunge quite yet.

Moving from Albuquerque first week in August

Moving to Denver because my husband found a job there. He was laid off in October. We tried to find something here but added Phoenix, Denver and San Antonio to the job search list. Denver won and he has been there since January. The kids, pug and I will be there soon. We just love how mellow everyone is and everything that a bigger city has to offer. We feel very fortunate to HAVE to move to such a great city!

Hey all,

The OP here, just wanted to share that I got a bite on a resume (yay!). I still will move whether I have a job or not, but I'm really excited and just wanted to share with all of you!

Where are you coming from?

Northern Utah

Why are you moving to Denver?

Relocated in February. Needed a change. Want children to grow up in a environment with a bit more diversity- makes them stronger. Always loved "the feel" of CO when vacationing here. Definately paying more for less house here though.

Do you have a job lined up, or are you taking the plunge?

Transferred to a sister company with an office here, but currently looking for better opportunities in the tech field as a Sales Manager, Project/Product Manager or Senior Sales.

I'm trying to move to Denver from Bend, OR this September. Originally I'm from Portland. Born and raised.

I really miss the urban life. I would go back there but I need some new scenery. So I visited Denver last summer and really enjoyed the period I was there. The weather is also similar to Bend, which I enjoy. But most of all, it's the city life... the proximity to the mountains is nice too because I do enjoy outdoor stuff on occasion.

Job wise I will soon be in the process of trying to transfer stores. I'll be there in August to attempt it. If not, I'm still leaving. I'm only making ten dollars an hour currently. If this was a career, it would be a different situation for me. I see no use in staying in this town, unhappy, just because I don't want to let go of my retail job. But like I said, I will attempt to transfer and I'm really crossing my fingers because I would like to have something lined up when I get there. Boy, that would be nice.

Hoping to live somewhere near downtown. Capitol Hill, Cheesman Park, City Park, Baker... somewhere around there. I'm 26 and male. Good choice I hope!! Any opinions?
