Hello, We are going to be moving to the Denver area from California next month. We have 2 kids in elementary school and 1 in middle school. My husband will be working in downtown. I want to be in an area with good schools and my husband wants to keep his commute manageable. Can anyone give us any suggestions as to the best areas to possibly live???

Thanks

Littleton is a great area. Columbine High School is really good, despite what you know of it. Not sure what you're looking to spend house wise.

Littleton actually has a Light Rail that goes downtown, in case your husband doesnt want to commute. It's about half hour.

Thanks,
We have heard nice things about Littleton and Highlands Ranch. How long is the commute from Highlands Ranch? We would like to buy a house in the low $400,000 range.

A commute to where? There are plenty of houses on the market (a terrific buyers market) $400 will buy a nice house 3 or 4 bedrooms, 3 car garage...you can choose from brand new or resale. Mountain Views, golf course lots, open space...
