Estes Park seems like a good choice.

Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National park could be a good choice, it is now open, and tons of stuff to see while going over the highest road in the nation (I think that is the one lol) and when you get through it, you can then either take 40 south to Idaho Springs, and 70 back into Denver, or you can go back through and end up in Estes Park again.

Beautiful trip.
