Default Aurora CO

I am looking to move to the Denver area. I am looking at a house in Aurora on East 25th Avenue. Can anyone give me a heads up about this neighborhood? I know some have said that some parts are bad but is this one of them? Any help would be appreciated. I live in the midwest where we don't lock our doors at night. I wanted to move here because of the great reputation for friendly people. Was that wrong?

It would help to know where on E 25th Ave, but generally anywhere that road goes would be a place to lock your doors at night.

The friendly people thing is in the eye of the beholder. I love Colorado, but I find the majority of people there to be less-than-friendly, that excludes many of the people here on the forum, of course.

25th in 80010?

That is the last street before the old airport so as such you are looking at a field.

Not a terrible area, actually much better than say 22nd through 13th, but I would lock my doors.

Depending on how far east you go, it gets better. I would say east of Peoria St is the better part. But thats a small section. They have recently built a big hospital there and that area is being somewhat renovated. Kind of a slow process right now.
