If you cant' find anything closer, you can always park at a meter at, say, 14th and Broadway (by the library) and walk over to the mall from there. It's a few blocks, but not ridiculously far by any means, and generally not a hard place to park on weekends.

Why would anyone use the meters by the library (unless you were just stopping for 15 min or so)? They have a dollar an hour garage right there (same price as the meter). It's never full (except for special events), and you don't risk getting a ticket.
