Default moving to baker

so i just signed a lease for a small house in the baker neighborhood. i am very excited for this move as it is walking distance to work and easy access to the cherry creek bike path and downtown. not to mention south broadway and santa fe districts on either side. i think this is really the sleeper neighborhood of denver. our real estate agent tried to completely steer us away from baker, I had to twist his arm to even consider it. i think this is probably because there aren't many lucrative hot new developments going on there like in the highlands which is where most yuppies like me are directed. for someone from new england who is drawn to older homes with character and doesn't mind a quirky layout and likes being close to his neighbors this seems like the perfect location

I wouldn't call Baker a "sleeper" neighborhood and I'm sure you'll find a few yuppies...but it is a really cool neighborhood. Congrats!

Not a sleeper. It had a bit of interest in the late 90's that fell off during the early 00's.

Best of luck with your place. Baker is a great area.
