I collect them in the early morning. You got to be careful and only take the ones that are still moving, when shakened. There is no need to pluck the wings. Just rinse lightly in a salted cold water bath. I like miller moths sauteed in beurre noisette with shallots. Served over toast points with a nice Riesling.
