What are you looking to achieve with your first and second poll? I take it that you don't live here and I don't recognize any of your friends except for some in Dallas. Is there something specific you would like to know about Denver that you can ask in a straight forward question? You have a ton of rep points so you probably can put out there what you are trying to achieve instead of seeing if we Denverites fit into a specific label or type.

Not to mention that with 2+ million people, there's plenty of everything on the list.

A much better poll than the first one, but still, everyone's opinion of Denver is highly subjective, or as they say, YMMV.

So you are all saying it is impossible to generalize Denver......hmmm okay. I understand it is all subjective and opinion....that is fine with me. Go for it

My generalization of Denver is that it really is Artistic, Progressive, Liberal, and Diverse in almost every way. It has all sorts of religions and all sorts of views both liberal and conservative and progressive. It enables a huge outdoor recreation component, but has a ton of museums, show venues, culture, arts, all five major league sports, great universities, fine schools, lower crime, likable weather, fine airport, good transit, affordable in-city neighborhoods, clubs, bars, eateries and indoor attractions. It is more mellow than DC or NYC, etc, but has its hectic side in the downtown and LoDo. It is quite gay friendly and has plenty of live and let live accommodation. It has it's share of politics but not the snarling sort we see in DC. There is no real racial hostility that I've ever read or heard about and everyone seems to get along just fine. In short, it's one hell of a fine place to live.
I think most of my homies on here would agree... right, homies?

Totally agree Mike! We focus and appreciate the good we have here and don't want to be categorized as one type or another.
