10 Things One Must See/Do While in Denver
I'll be visiting Denver on Labor Day Weekend and am looking for suggestions on what to see/do while I'm there. I have a Denver Travel Book, but I'm looking for some addt'l suggestions from people that live in and are intimately familiar with the Denver area. Also, how efficient is the public transit downtown? I will have a car, but may not use it much depending upon the cost of parking.
If you could come up w/ your top 10 list of things to do/see that would be great, but if not, any and all suggestions are welcome. TIA!

It all depends on what you like. There are tons of things to do in Denver. I would reiterate what Mike said about doing a search, and also look at Denver Aztec's thread about "Things to do in Denver this summer". When my parents visited once many years ago, my dad wanted to see Rocky Flats (now defunct) where they made triggers for nuclear bombs. He is the one who discovered the Buckhorn Exchange for us, a historical restaurant with liquor license #1. The "Taste of Colorado" is Labor Day Weekend, the Louisville Fall Festival with a pet parade, a big Labor Day parade and all sorts of "Norman Rockwell" type things, and much more.

Tanning is very popular as locals do not get much sun. No I am just playing. Seriously, I don't know.

Denver Art Museum, Public Library & History Museum - all within a few yards of each other
Climb to the top of the Capitol Building's dome
Denver Zoo & Science Museum - both on the edge of City Park which is also a good place to visit
LoDo (aka Lower Downtown) & Tattered Cover Bookstore
Maybe catch a game at Coors Field
Take a drive to Buffalo Bill's grave, Boulder, Estes Park, top of Mt Evans
