Commute to Denver Children's Hospital
We are looking at a possible relocation to Denver. Our wants are:
Rocky views
Family friendly
1+ acre lots available
30 minute or less commute to Denver Children's
700-800K budget
Is this doable and where? I have researched Golden, Castle Rock, Littleton, and Arvada and they seem to fit some of our wants but commute has me the most concerned. Although mapquest and googlemaps show decent commutes, I know those can be way off.
TIA

You won't be living in Denver or anywhere near Denver but you might find what you are looking for east and southeast if you don't mind paying for the use of E-470.

Look in zip code 80016, specifically subdivisions/neighborhoods:
Chenango
Chaparral
Foxfield
or anything south of Arapahoe Rd and East of Parker Rd, but north and west of E-470. There are many homes meeting your requirements in that area, and the commute would be about 30 minutes, even with traffic, and without using E-470.

Really? I can't say I know firsthand but it seems like everytime I look at traffic Parker and 225 are backed way the hell up.

Denver Children's, in Aurora, right? I'd cross Arvada and Golden off the list because of the long commute.

Yes, you are correct.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I appreciate it. I'm open to more too! We'll definitely be coming for visit(s) before a final decision is made but it's nice to have the suggestions from people that make the drives and/or live in the area.

They are usually backed up during commute time, but even with the clogs on Parker and I-225, the commute should be less than or about a half-hour to Children's.

If the house is close enough to I-70 then it is still a reasonable commute, especially if you can avoid the rush hour commute. Children's is in a good location right off 225.
