Another comment as a complete outsider to Denver - your roads are seriously awesome compared to California roads. Even Sante Fe - which I didnt like while I was there - is better than any road I can think of in California (except for maybe PCH). The roads are better maintained, better signed, wider, easier to drive....

My wife's commute:

Also, I don't care for the intersection of Quebec Way and Florida Avenue in my neighborhood. The layout of the intersection is weird and it's a 4-way stop, but people never seem to be able to figure out when it's their turn to go, so usually it's a free for all.
Same on the Quebec/Florida intersection.

I hate going down Evans between Quebec and I-25 (route I travel frequently going over to DU). There will always be traffic at random parts of the day.

If you hate Arapahoe Rd. for suburban sprawl, Wadsworth from about 80th north to US 36 and a little beyond is even worse. Overwide with traffic slowed by mistimed traffic lights and oversized shops (like the awfully ugly AFW) and commerce that is spaced too far out. Looks like a terrible mismatch.

I also have to add anything that I've seen in Broomfield. You can't go anywhere for the awful traffic lights.

Good thing for me that I never go there!

I have two.

Arapahoe from Quebec to Parker. I commute on it. You accelerate up to whatever you can do (as high as 60) then stop. Repeat for 4 miles.

Broadway from Yale to i25. The road surface is disintegrating. It drives me up the wall every time I drive on it.

Quebec street between 11th and 23rd (basically between Lowry and Stapleton) needs a major overhaul. It was not designed to handle the traffic flows that it is now experiencing and it will only get worse. Right now it is a nightmare to travel this stretch or to even cross it anywhere near rush hour. I feel bad for the people who own homes on Quebec who have to look out their windows and see idling cars several hours a day.

I-70 between 225 and 25 is an eyesore and to say it's held together with ducktape would be assuming that it's held together at all, which I'm not convinced it is. They need to fix this stretch before a major catastrophe happens.
