Broomfield, Anthem Highlands, Pulte
I'm looking to move to Colorado. I have been looking around areas between Boulder and Denver. I saw Anthem Highlands development in Broomfield by Pulte.
Anyone has experiences w/ this area and the builder? Any inputs are welcome!
Thanks,

I have sold two house there, and one in Vista Ridge across the highway.
Both are nice, desirable communities , and have quality home builders.
Anthem has two sections one for active adults. Lots of activities on both sides.
What is important to you? Schools, commute, recreation, golf, shopping, transportation???????

If schools are an issue, make sure you get an accurate repreentation of the school district. Broomfield is in like 7 districts, and some people have their hearts set on one in particular.

Katiana: Any recommended schools? It seems like Legacy High is more spoken of. How does it compare to other good schools in the Denver area?
2bindenver: School, home, community are probably the most important. Are there any other communities between Boulder / Denver that you would recommend? Commute wise, I'd like to make myself available to both Boulder and Denver.
Among other things:
- Broomfield feels like there are spots of new developments, old developments, farm lands, empty areas. Does the city/county have any grand plan for the future?
- I realized there is the Erie Municipal Airport across the street from Anthem. Not sure how much a problem it will be or if it'll ever expand in the future.
- I heard there are going to be light rail stations to the East and West of Broomfield, not sure how far away it will actually be
- I also heard some drug (meth lab) problems in the northern Denver area?
- Lastly, how does the city/county in general compare other areas such as Highland Ranch / Cherry Creek? (development/organization of the city, political views, racial diversity, school, shopping, etc)
I know these are many questions, but that's what I love about this forum =)
Thanks in advance to anyone responding!

I'm a bad one to ask, as I think school rankings are a bit shallow of a way to find a "good" school. Legacy High does have a good reputation. It is in the Adams County 12 School Dist. (When Broomfield became a county out of parts of Adams, Boulder, Jefferson and Weld, the schools remained in their respective districts.) I am more familiar with Broomfield High School in the Boulder Valley School District as my kids went to a BVSD high school and did high school gymnastics at BHS.

I don't know, take a look at their website. Google City and County of Broomfield.

Again, you will have to do some research.

There is a light rail station planned in downtown Louisville in the future. Google RTD and look for Fastracks.

Well, you hear about it now and again, but it doesn't seem like a big problem. I live in Louisville, BTW.

Broomfield is a city and county. HR is unicorporated Jefferson County. Do you mean the Cherry Creek part of Denver? CC is fairly high end. I'd say economically, Broomfield and HR are similar. Not the same mind you, similar. Broomfield has its older parts, while HR is all about 25 years old or newer. Politically, HR is conservative, Broomfield more middle of the road. Diversity isn't huge in either, and I really don't know enough about HR to make a comparison. You can get diversity stats on the school websites, also for the city as a whole on the CD main page for Broomfield. There is a large mall, Park Meadows in the HR area. There is another large mall, FlatIron Crossing, in Broomfield. They are probably the largest malls in the metro area and are quite similar in terms of stores, size of store, etc.
