Default Recycling in South Denver?

We just moved to Highlands Ranch and haven't found a place to recycle our cans and bottles. We are not necessarily looking to receive $$$ for them, just don't want to throw them away. Any suggestions???

who is your trash service company? Most have an every other week pick up service.

Eagle Waste does it single-stream, too. Failing that, I 'm in Littleton and drop mine off (renter- landlord doesn't value recycling) at Pyramid Liquior on Littleton Blvd., about 15 mins from the Ranch.

Thanks for the suggestions. We are renting an apartment right now whose management barely arranges for the trash to get picked up, much less have an option for recycling.

Wow, what a bummer. I just moved into a home in Highlands Ranch a few months ago, and Eagle Waste has been great about recycling. They charge nothing extra for it, and they'll pick up as much as you want to give them (even if it's, say, 15 big boxes full of packing paper, plus a bunch more flattened moving boxes). Maybe you can ask your landlord who the garbage company is and if they'll take recycling; I honestly don't know.

OMG! Offer empty moving boxes, clean re-usable packing materials etc, on Craigslist or FreeCycle so people can re-use them as they are. Sending them off to be recycled is a good alternative if no takers are found, but wow, good moving van boxes are worth $3-10 each if you have to buy them.

Oh. I gave away all of the good boxes on Craigslist. These were just the beat-up ones, and mostly the packing paper (I didn't have the patience to flatten out the used, crumpled paper, and I didn't figure anyone would want it in its high-volume form). I love giving stuff away online!

I think many of the local King Soopers have recycling. Mine has a newspaper bin behind it and maybe take the bottles and cans to the front desk? Just go in to the customer service department and ask them. It's similar to the setup at Pyramid liquor someone has mentioned above.
