Default Possible Relocation from Michigan-Arvada? Westminister?

First time posting....I am possibly relocating from Michigan (waiting until job prospects are finalized).. I will be working in the Broomfield area...In terms of housing...I have 3 young children 9/6/3 and am interested in the communities of Arvada, Westminister or any other starting points that I may be missing....looking at local Catholic schools in the area as well as youth hockey programs...2 of our 3 sons play "travel' hockey here in Michigan. I would look to spend in the 250k to 280k range...no issue with older housing stock just looking for the above and in a good neighborhood....

Try Broomfield itself. It has a Catholic K-8 school, Nativity of Our Lord, and a Catholic High School, Holy Family. My kids don't play hockey, but I know there's quite a bit of it around here.

There are, actually: St. Anne's Catholic School and Guardian Angels School in Arvada, Machebeuf and Holy Trinity schools in N. Denver, and Nativity of Our Lord School in Broomfield.

We recently moved to CO from MI ourselves, and my spouse works in Broomfield.

We have our housing options narrowed down to Westminster and Broomfield; we've met and/or know families in both areas that send their kids to Nativity. I'm Catholic myself (spouse is not) and I've attended Mass at Nativity; it looks to be a pretty large parish. The people there have all been very friendly.

The majority of homes we've looked at have been priced at $350K and up (which I know is quite a shock coming from Michigan ) so unfortunately I can't suggest any neighborhoods in the range you listed. Just wanted to wish you luck from a fellow Michigander.

Hi there! We are a family with two boys who live in Arvada, and my oldest plays travel hockey. I can
recommend the Westwoods area to you (try zip code 80007), which is sort of in the northwest area of Arvada. Great public schools (Westwoods Elementary, Ralston Valley High School), area is full of families, I think you guys would enjoy it. You are also a stone's throw away from the Apex Center, a rec center which houses the Arvada Hockey Association in addition to a ton of other cool amenities. Playing travel hockey, for me personally, I want to be as close as possible to the ice arena because we are there so much :c) We aren't catholic, but a have friends out here who are. Working in Broomfield, you would drive up Indiana St., I believe. Please let me know if you have any specific questions. Good luck!

I agree Westwoods in Arvada is a very nice place to live. It is near the largest recreation center in the Area, Apex which has a ice arena.

However, the biggest Ice arena in the area is the Ice Centre at the Promenade in Westminster Ice Centre at The Promenade It has three rinks and is home to traveling hockey teams. This is right at I-36 and Church Ranch Road. The big City Park of Westminster with the Recreations Centers in right down the road. There are multiple choices for homes around this area. It is very close to Broomfield, just a few miles up the road.
