Red Light Camera
With the recent discussion on getting caught by red light camera, thought it might be informative to create a master list of all interesections in metro Denver that have the camera installed by jurisdiction.
Start with Littleton here:
Broadway & Littleton Blvd.
Santa Fe & Bowles - coming soon
Santa Fe & Mineral - coming soon
Greenwood Village:
Arapahoe & Yosemite
University & Belleview
University & Quebec
Lone Tree:
Park Meadows Dr. & Lincoln Ave.
Others?

I call them the "booby trapped" intersections.
In Aurora I've seen them at Chambers & Mississippi, and Iliff & Blackhawk.
I know Boulder has a few too.

Not in the twilight zone! They do meet actually as University curves SE south of C-470 and remains University until it hits Quebec. East from that intersection it is Lincoln Ave. and west from that intersection it is University Blvd. But anyways, it was a typo. I mean to say University & Belleview

Nope - bad typo by me. I thought by 'Twilight zone' you meant that it didn't exist at all.

My daughter got nabbed by one in a school zone near the old health science center. I can't remember which school, however.

I do not understand why there is such antipathy to having cameras at intersections. They are helping us to control a severe problem in Denver with people running red lights. Mostly, these lights provide a service for the public safety; a record of who is at fault in a accident; monitoring in real time where problems can occur.
I was at an intersection where an elderly person feel from the curb. Before anyone could respond--a police car was there and an ambulance was immediately dispatched. It was because the intersection at that time was being monitored in real time. Obviously, not all places can be monitored continually. But the record of events can catch a rapist, a murderer, a thief and prevent many future tragedies.
So you get caught and ticketed by the camera---live with it; you were wrong and accept the punishment. Please do not give me that crap with privacy rights--that is nonsense. When you are in a public space, then privacy rights can be restricted.
For me, it gives me some sense of comfort, either as a pedestrian or a motorist.
