I live in the Sunnyside neighborhood (in a house) and I feel very safe. (Even though we once had a guy on our porch at 5.30 am -- it was raining and he was waiting for the bus).

We feel extremely safe, crime-wise that is. We live in Thornton. We came from downtown so where we live it's very quiet. Not a lot of foot traffic. If we see a cop it's usually due to a domestic dispute or party.
Mostly I'm concerned about the unsupervised kids. They seem to be quite bored and maybe even neglected and have often caused damage to our home as well as others. One even threw a rock at my DH's car as he was coming home.

I live in Belcaro. Belcaro's really safe- there's pretty much no crime here and everyone's welcoming and friendly. It's kind of a "rich person" neighborhood, but there's still a lot of charm and good elements here. It's definitely not suburbia. (South of central Denver)

I live in the Adams County part of Arvada (East of Sheridan), just 2 miles north of the Regis and Berkeley Neighborhoods in Denver. Always felt safe, day and night. The only fear I have is with low-class people who let their dogs roam and some get defensive/aggressive when they see me with my rollator/walker.

Safe, but I won't limit it to Denver, will also include some other Colorado locales.
Over the many years, neighborhoods/communities in Colorado I've lived and felt safe have included Platt Park, Barnum, Congress Park, Lakewood, Evergreen, Capitol Hill, Lafayette, Littleton, Boulder, Crested Butte, Minturn, Observatory Park (know I'm missing some) . . .

mine is a very unsafe neighborhood, for criminals.
no compassion at all for rapists and robbers.
most of the residents are armed, its just awful.
